The article also explains the role of the Child Protection Act and how legal assistance can support children in conflict with the law, from case access to police procedures, providing a comprehensive overview of the urgent need for reform and stronger support for children in Indonesia.

The Importance of Maintaining, Caring For, and Protecting Children

Children are essentially a gift and grace from God Almighty. Their existence is an asset that must be maintained, cared for, and protected; moreover, children can provide their own sustenance for their parents in a household life. In a child's early education, the role of parents is paramount and important in determining the child's character and behavior. In this case, legal protection for children can be interpreted as an effort to provide legal protection for various freedoms and human rights of children, as well as interests related to the welfare of children.

So the issue of legal protection for children covers a very broad scope. Starting from the discussion above, the scope of protection for children's freedom includes protection for children's freedom, protection for children's human rights, and legal protection for all children's interests related to children's welfare. However, in reality, legal protection for children in Indonesia is still weak because the State is not serious about resolving problems that occur in Indonesian children and the lack of attention from all elements of society towards children themselves. This causes many children to become victims of their surrounding environment.
