Starting from a Concern
In lecture halls and academic forums, the law often appears so majestic, yet at the same time, feels so distant. I, Adam Ilyas, am often disturbed by an irony: we demand society to obey the law (legal fiction), but the law itself is presented in complex, elitist, and inaccessible language.
This reality creates a divide. Many injustices occur not solely because of the absence of rules, but because of the public's ignorance of their constitutional rights. The law seems to be an “ivory tower” puzzle that can only be solved by a select few.
It was this intellectual anxiety that gave birth to Indonesian Legal Literacy. This platform is not just a news medium, but an effort to carry out democratization of legal knowledge. We are here to translate the complexity of statutes into enlightening narratives.
