Jakarta, LiterasiHukumCom – The legal efforts taken by the President Commissioner of PT Dosni Roha Logistik, Bambang Rudijanto Tanoesoedibjo, to annul his suspect status have failed. The single judge of the South Jakarta District Court rejected all pretrial requests submitted regarding the alleged corruption case of social assistance (bansos). The decision was read out by the single judge Saut Erwin Hartono in a trial at the South Jakarta District Court on Tuesday (23/9/2025). "Adjudicating, in the main case: rejecting the Pretrial Applicant's request in its entirety," Judge Saut Erwin Hartono asserted while reading out the verdict.

Suspect Designation by KPK Declared Valid

In his considerations, the judge stated that the determination of suspect status against Rudy Tanoesoedibjo by the Corruption Eradication Commission (Corruption Eradication Commission) was in accordance with procedure and based on sufficient evidence. The judge emphasized that the KPK had secured three valid pieces of evidence. In addition, the judge also noted that Rudy Tanoesoedibjo had undergone examination at the investigation stage of this case. Thus, all arguments submitted by the applicant were considered baseless. "Therefore, all of the Applicant's requests must be declared rejected in their entirety," the judge said, adding that the case costs were borne nil by the applicant.

Flashback of the Social Aid Corruption Case

This case is a development of the social aid distribution corruption case at the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) in 2020. In August 2025, the KPK announced five new suspects, consisting of three individuals and two corporations. Although the KPK has not detailed the identities of all the suspects, Rudy Tanoesoedibjo's name emerged after he was included in four people who were prevented from traveling abroad. His suspect status became clear when he registered a pretrial lawsuit with case number 102/Pid.Pra/2025/PN JKT.SEL, which has now been rejected by the court.
