KPK to Soon Announce Suspects in Hajj Quota Corruption, New Chapter Begins
The KPK will soon name suspects in the Hajj quota corruption case. Alleged misuse of the additional 20,000 quota allocation is the main focus of the investigation.
Jakarta, LiterasiHukum.com – The Corruption Eradication Commission Corruption (KPK (Corruption Eradication Commission)) has given a strong signal that the investigation process into the alleged corruption in the organization and distribution of the Hajj quota will soon enter a new phase. The anti-corruption agency ensures that the determination of suspects will be carried out in the near future, along with the ongoing collection of evidence.
KPK spokesperson, Budi Prasetyo, stated on Monday (15/9/2025), that every significant development in the investigation, including the identities of those designated as suspects, will be announced transparently to the public. "If there are developments in the investigation of this case, including the determination of the suspects, we will certainly convey it," said Budi.
Currently, the KPK is still focused on collecting sufficient evidence to fully clarify the construction of the case. However, Budi declined to provide further details regarding who the prospective suspects are being targeted by the investigating team.
