Future Challenges

Although this framework seems ideal, challenges remain. The presence of the Minister of Finance, who is a political position, as coordinator of the KSSK raises the potential for politicization. In addition, several articles in Law No. 4 of 2023 (UU P2SK) have also been criticized for showing symptoms of recentralization that could erode the independence of these institutions. Therefore, the idea of monetary constitutionalism becomes relevant as an analytical tool to continue to study and improve the architecture of financial institutions in Indonesia. This is an important discourse to ensure the stability of our financial system is maintained sustainably, independently, but remains accountable.
