Legal Literacy - If we are talking about guidelines, benchmarks or measures in behaving or acting in everyday life, then we are actually talking about Norms.

There are at least 4 social norms that exist in society, including religious norms, moral norms, etiquette norms, and legal norms. Religious and moral norms originate from within the human being and are therefore autonomous, while etiquette and legal norms originate from outside the human being and are therefore heteronomous.

Legal norms are the foundation underlying the structure and application of law in a judicial system. In the realm of law, these norms act as principles or rules that provide guidance in the creation, interpretation, and application of law. Legal norms cover various aspects, ranging from general principles of justice, court procedures, to interpretations of specific regulations. Legal norms not only serve as the basis for decision-making in legal cases, but also reflect the moral values, ethics, and justice that underpin society in upholding the law. Thus, understanding legal norms is important in understanding the judicial system and the implementation of law in a society.

In this writing, the author will not explain all or the four social norms that exist in society. However, the author will specifically elaborate on regarding legal norms.
