Legal Literacy - Gamma was a vocational school student from Semarang who was shot dead by the police. The perpetrator was named Robig with the rank of Second Police Inspector (Aipda) who served at the Semarang Police. According to the chronology recorded by CCTV around the crime scene, Robig first blocked Gamma and his friends before shooting. This incident of police slaughtering unarmed civilians has happened more than once, triggering endless waves of protests related to violence committed by the authorities. In Semarang, the wave of protests related to Gamma's death continues to echo, most recently last Thursday (19/12), the masses gathered in the Semarang Kamisan Action movement held a peaceful demonstration in front of the Central Java Police to demand justice for Gamma and appropriate punishment for Robig. In addition, they also demanded the dismissal of the Semarang Police Chief, Kombes Pol Irwan Anwar, who had committed obstruction of justice (obstructing the investigation) by constructing false information regarding Gamma's death.
