Examining Government Laws and Policies Regarding Green Economy in Indonesia
Policy Green economy in Indonesia, as an effort to form an environmentally sound economic development resolution to alleviate environmental problems. The concept of green economy has become a study of global problem solving formulated in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Where these SDGs function as guidelines for state governments in forming their development plans and programs, in order to participate in solving economic and environmental problems on a global scale. Indonesia, as a member state of the UN, also takes a role in implementing the SDGs, especially implementing the policy of green economy.
Definition Green Economy
According to United Nation Environment Programme (UNEP), the concept of green economy or in Indonesian it is defined as a green economy is defined as a low-carbon, resource-efficient and socially impactful economy. In the implementation of a green economy, economic growth and community income are driven by government and private investment in economic activities, which enable the reduction of carbon emissions and pollution, prevention of ecosystem loss for biodiversity and increase the efficiency of energy and resource use.
In other words, the definition of green economy can be simplified as a sustainable economic development model by emphasizing the main basic principles of an environmentally oriented economy.
