Legal Literacy - This article discusses trade secrets, which are valuable information in the fields of technology and business that are kept confidential by their owners. Trade secrets have an important role in the business world because they can provide a competitive advantage. Indonesia has regulated the protection of trade secrets through Law No. 30 of 2000, which protects trade secrets according to international TRIPs-WTO standards. This article also explains the philosophy of granting trade secret licenses based on the theory of rights and contracts, as well as the requirements and procedures for granting licenses in Indonesia to protect the interests of all parties involved.
