The right of children to be protected from violence is a fundamental element of Human Rights, which means that every child has the right to survival, growth and development, and the right to protection from violence and discrimination.
The proliferation of various cases of violence against children is certainly concerning to us all. The family, as the main protector for children, has not been fully able to carry out its role properly. Cases of divorce, family disharmony, and the busyness of parents are one of the triggers for neglecting children's rights in the family, whereas the family should be the primary place to maintain the survival and development of children. Parents are obliged to care for and educate children who are not yet adults.
