Court administration
Definition
A series of activities carried out by the court to create efficiency, accuracy, and consistency in the judicial system. A court administration structure is carried out in order to support the work of judges and to improve services to the justice-seeking community. Court administration includes, among other things, overseeing the budget, appointing judges in a case, creating trial schedules, and supervising non-case-related work.
