Jakarta, Legal Literacy - Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD, as presidential and vice-presidential candidates, submitted a request to the Constitutional Court to disqualify the Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka pair from the 2024 Presidential Election. They claim that the registration of Prabowo-Gibran violated legal and ethical rules. This request was submitted in the context of a dispute over the presidential election results submitted to the Constitutional Court on Saturday (23/3/2024) by the legal team of the Ganjar-Mahfud National Winning Team led by Todung Mulya Lubis.
Submitting 4 Containers of Evidence

Along with the registration of the lawsuit at the Constitutional Court, the Head of the Ganjar Mahfud TPN, Arsjad Rasjid, the Secretary General of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P), Hasto Kristiyanto, and the Secretary General of the United Indonesia Party (Perindo), Ahmad Rofiq, also accompanied. The Ganjar Mahfud National Winning Team (TPN) arrived at the Constitutional Court Building at around 16.30, carrying four containers of evidence. The case registration was carried out at 16.53 with submission number 02-03/AP3-PRES/Pan.MK/03/2024. The submission includes 151 pages, not including attachments and supporting evidence.
Demands of the National Winning Team (TPN) Ganjar Mahfud
Todung stated that Ganjar-Mahfud asked the Constitutional Court to disqualify the Prabowo-Gibran pair. The pair, who had been announced by the General Election Commission as the winners of the most votes in the 2024 Presidential Election, were registered in violation of legal and ethical provisions. Indications of these violations have even been shown through the decisions of the Constitutional Court's Honorary Council and the Election Organizer Honorary Council.
In addition, his party also asked the Constitutional Court to cancel KPU Decree Number 360 of 2014 which stipulates the national election results. The Constitutional Court was also asked to order the General Election Commission (KPU) to hold a re-vote (PSU).
”Because there is a disqualification, we are also asking for a re-vote at all polling stations in Indonesia, not in one place or several places,” said Todung after registering the lawsuit.
Todung stated that the root of the problem was nepotism which resulted in abuse of power. The consequences of this abuse include intervention in power, politicization of social assistance programs, and criminalization of village heads in the context of the 2024 Presidential Election. The impact of this abuse of power was also felt when they campaigned in various regions. The Ganjar-Mahfud National Winning Team (TPN) met with village heads, lurah, and activists who complained about acts of criminalization and intimidation.
In addition, Ganjar-Mahfud also highlighted problems in the use of information systems by the KPU. They consider that the use of the Recapitulation Information System (Sirekap) not only does not facilitate supervision, but can also be a tool for manipulating votes.
