JAKARTA, Legal Literacy- Actor Ammar Zoni is again undergoing a follow-up trial for the alleged circulation of narcotics inside the Salemba Detention Center. In the trial held at the Central Jakarta District Court on Thursday, February 12, 2026, Ammar was present wearing a pink armband that attracted attention.

Immediately after entering the courtroom, Ammar was seen greeting his adoptive mother, lover, and family who were present. He then showed the armband and read the writing on it, “The more pressure, the more resistance.”

The agenda of this trial focuses on examining witnesses presented by the Public Prosecutor (JPU), including officers who handled the case, cellmates, and prison officers.

Ammar's legal counsel, Jon Mathias, objected to some of the witnesses because they were not listed in the police report. However, the defendant did not question the presence of the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Cempaka Putih AKP Yossy Januar, because his name was mentioned in the exception submitted by Ammar's party.

Indictment: Drug Network in Detention Center, Once Transferred to Nusakambangan

In the indictment, Ammar is said to be allegedly involved in a drug trafficking network within the detention center, along with five other defendants, with the alleged distribution of methamphetamine and marijuana. The defendants were temporarily transferred to a high-security prison in Nusakambangan, but the panel of judges asked that the defendants be presented directly in the trial.

Because one of the defendants was reportedly ill, Ammar and four defendants were temporarily placed in the Jakarta Narcotics Prison to facilitate the trial.
