Draft Criminal Code Limits Cassation of Criminal Cases to the Supreme Court: Threats Under 5 Years Stop at the High Court

The latest Draft Criminal Code will limit cassation to the Supreme Court only for criminal cases above 5 years. Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights Eddy Hiariej explained the aim is to reduce the burden of cases and strengthen the role of judges.
